Advanced EyeCare - Raytown

I had an appointment here yesterday to get my glasses/contacts prescription's and was very happy with how kind and efficient everyone was. My appointment was at 2 and I was out of there by 2:35. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming, the ophthalmic assistant was training a new hire and they were both friendly and efficient as well. The ophthalmologist was amicable and quick. I've been to several other ophthalmology practices and have left irritated and flustered do to lackadaisical attitudes and pushy upselling for inhouse sold frames and contact lenses, and am happy to report that was not the case here. The assistant that printed off my prescriptions asked once and lightly if I was interested in their products and after I replied "No." (expecting to have to patiently reiterate myself soon) she instead gave me a kind and disarming smile. I was already convinced to become a repeat customer, but her kind approach and understanding acceptance made a big impact and guaranteed my return. I feel it seems a bit crazy to be so ecstatic about what should be considered the norm for customer service, but in todays world everyone is on guard, and this place stands above the rest. The BEST staff I've ever encountered in my 30+ years of going to eye doctors! All of them were super friendly, personable, knowledgeable and fun! They also have newer equipment/technology which was cool! Excellent experience, will be my go to from here on out!!! THANK YOU!!!

Been going here for years. Staff are always friendly and nice. Appointments are always very quick but thorough. Dr. Harter always explains things and tells me whats going on. My appointment actually got rescheduled at the last minute by the office. I was still able to get in quickly but I had to see Dr. Moody. She was very nice and answered all my questions.

I had an episode of seeing colors and was worried about my retina, got an appointment and found to have diabetic retinopathy. Miranda, the assistant, was very thorough asking questions and Dr Pena was very nice and informative. The front desk is always friendly and helpful and the eyeglass fashionistas are great. I've been going here for at least 10 years and can't think of a complaint.

I've been using americas best for years , but aftert the move from Texas to hear i went to the one in Lee summit , and I felt like my eyeglasses prescription was not right , like I get headaches but the vision in my glasses or great... so I went to get a 2nd opinion here, and they were very sweet and kind.. I just don't understand why, they lowered my eye prescription from my old prescription when I have a hard time seeing z I thought it more powerful but all in all satisfied 😌 at the bottom i put my old prescription down compared to my new :)

My experience here has been very good over time. I really like Kathleen Wilhelmus (Dr. Katie) for me and Dr. Hurter has seen my son for several years. He’s also amazing, too. I have no complaints. I wish I could remember the name of the young woman with dark hair that helped me with my glasses. She was really good too. My only critique is the glasses selection. Haven’t been able to find anything I want so am grateful I can bring in my own frames, have them assessed for fitness and use them.

Excellent customer service! Dr. Wilhelmus and her staff are friendly, professional and caring. I felt valued as a patient as my experience was smooth from the paperwork to the screening procedures. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend staff and provider. Everyone treats you as a trusted friend of the family as opposed to a $. Wish more places served customers with new school technology and old school customer service.

This place is fantastic! The staff/assistants are all so friendly. Dr. Harter is amazing, he is so knowledgeable and personable. He always takes the time to really listen to any concerns you have. My glasses have always arrived within 2 weeks and I've never had a problem with the lenses. The assistants always make sure they are fitted well and follow up to make sure I still like my new prescription/glasses.

I have been with this clinic for four years. I have been happy with service and atmosphere. Has been beautiful. They explain to you every step in the process. Thank you all from the receptionist to the optometrist. Thank you.

Love this place! I usually go to Americas Best but I had my first appointment here today and they actually took their time to get my vision in check, whereas Americas Best did not. Dr. Harter was very patient with me and found the best prescription for my eyes. I literally can see so much better now! Definitely going to keep coming back here.

Everyone was absolutely wonderful. Our optometrist was extremely through & she even got my husband into an ophthalmologist at a different office just so he could be treated quickly. Can't thank her enough!

10 out of 10! Very Friendly and professional staff! The staff was amazing from check in, to doctor visit, to picking out glasses! Very helpful and very informative! Totally recommend! Edit: 2025 just got out of my yearly visit and again I’m amazed at how kind and patient the staff has been. I had to bring my two kids and they were very kind and accommodating getting crayon and coloring books for them. So thankful for great doctor and staff! Thank you!

Dr. Pachy was so great and informative. She really helped explain what was going on with me and i will continue to come here. The other staff were nice and quick with getting me checked in and on my way.

My visit for my annual follow-up went extremely well as always. Staff members at the desk started with a greeting, and my doctor did his exams and all went well.

Extremely friendly staff who took the time to ensure that my glasses and contacts fit well and were comfortable. I appreciate the doctor taking the time to explain a few new options to improve my day to day vision and comfort--even taking the time to draw diagrams and explain the science behind it. Thanks!

I loathe doctors and doctors offices to the point of delaying or foregoing healthcare. However, I may have to start inventing eye issues that I don't have so I can continue to visit this office. I would like to specifically recognize "Emily the Optician", Dr. Brooke Peterson, and the two persons that checked me in and out. The best thing about this office (besides it being completely female operated, which is awesome if you despise men as I do) is that I did not have to wait in any rooms. Once I was transferred somewhere, eye-related things were accomplished, and then the next person came in. I did not have to read a few chapters of a book or ponder life's mysteries for an hour. I would recommend this office to anyone with eyes.

Linsey was amazing to work with! So kind and so professional! This was my first time visiting, and she made me feel right at home .Highly recommended working with her
